Hello, Sam Onn, writing here again, today I will write about why your PC is running slower than ever. This is done with my experiences with home visit servicing. Based on my experiences, slow PC performance is due to the following reasons.
- Low RAM (Random Access Memory)
- Low Hard Disk Space
- Virus Infected
- Unwanted Spyware
- Unwanted Documents
- Windows Corruptted
These were the main reasons why the PC is moving at the a very slow rate. Now lets start with Low RAM.
Low RAM
Computers these days, now require at least 1.0gb RAM to perform at a good and fast speed, as current operating systems require larger and larger memory now. If you are still using an old computer running on Windows XP Home, or Professional with 256mb of RAM, most likely your computer will hang when ever it is, because applications require memory, and Windows XP operating systems already takes up 256mb of RAM instantly. So, upgrade your RAM to 1.0gb this will solve your problems. As for current windows vista systems, the Min requirement of RAM is 1.5GB, if you have lesser than 1.5GB most likely your system will perform slower, and hangs frequently. RAM is important to the computer, if you want applications to load faster.
Low Hard Disk Space
Low Hard Disk space, is also an issue for slow PC performance, but, it would not be that serious, as when you run out of Disk Space, most likely, you won’t be able to download, or even use the Computer anymore. What you can do is, always delete unwanted files, and make plenty of disk space for your computer. The standard personal computers now, requires at least 7.0gb of free space. So don’t jam up your hard disk.
Virus Infected
Virus is an issue, if your computer has no Anti Virus, 100% chances that your computer is infected with one or more virus, these virus are deadly, and it can destroy your whole operating system, as well as your computer. What you should do is to purchase an Anti Virus software to keep your Windows operating systems safe.
Unwanted Spyware
Spywares are programs and cookies that will spy on you, and run programs without your consent. These spywares are the most unwanted things you wish to have in your computer as it slows down your internet speed, as well as your computer. Spywares comes from web sites, or even programs that you downloaded from the net. The only thing to remove spywares is to have an internet security program installed in your computer and a reliable firewall.
Unwanted Documents
Unwanted Documents, takes up spaces in the Hard Disk, thus your hard disk will be too cramped, Unwanted documents can also bring spywares to your computer, so beware, a defragmentaion, can be done to re organize the files in your hard disk or the best way is to delete unwanted documents to reduce lag, and spywares or viruses in your computer.
Windows Corrupted
When you log on to windows, an error message comes out, indicating that, Microsoft Windows had failed to start up, or some of the major files were infected with viruses, indicates that Windows is corrupted, Windows is an operating system, thus without windows you cannot use the computer. A Re installation of a fresh windows copy will solve this situation.
